For over 30 years, Larry D. Isaacs has enjoyed going to auction sales and following the antique and retail markets. In May of 1990 I started Isaacs Auctions and to date have had over 10 million dollars in sales. We deal with people on a daily basis and had one year with 60 auctions. When we are not having auctions, we are reading antique books, antique newspapers, watching appraisals on TV, and reviewing auction results all over the United States and also EBAY. Staying abreast of values involves auctions, as well as, market trends on new items such as TV's, appliances, and tools.
Isaacs Auctions top auctions in the last 15 years was $73,000 which included a set of Royal Winton Summertime china which sold for $7,200. We have had a $60,000 toy auction, a $23,000 button and costume jewelry auction, a $52,000 gun auction, all Coca-Cola auction $52,000, Coral Supermarket business auction $40,000, and have had several architectural auctions including the Elk's artifacts. We sold a black Simon&Halbig bisque large doll for $5,400, a CI large butchering kettle with ears of corn and cows heads for $1,525, a double curve glass bookcase cabinet oak for $4,600, a Model A Ford for $11,200, a stand-up Coke Policeman for $3,200, a signed Galle vase for $3,200, a Barbie doll bridal set in box for $1,700, a hand woven Hamadan Oriental rug 8x12 for $2,600, and a high wheel early bicycle for $1,700. We also sold an early Victorian desk, which had provenance with a picture from the office of Judge Horace Biddle, and now sits in the Cass County Historical Museum.
We
have had lots of people, from all over the United States, attend our auctions
and or call and leave bids.
Several
celebrities have attended our auctions including Eric Harmon, Rick Smits, and
Joe Tiller. We advertise nationally in the Antique Week, as well as locally,
and on the internet at
www.isaacsauctions.com.
We have 35mm or digital cameras to help take pictures for advertising
in ads or on our website. Now we mail out more then 200 auction fliers to our
long-time customer base, we fax, and we put several fliers in local business
areas. We also now have 200 people that have their own permanent bid number
cards at our sales.
With each your of business we have changed to make our auctions better and more professional. We now video and record our inside sales with color cameras in 4 directions. We photo copy ID's for our seller's protection and take every major credit card to improve our sale totals. We have moved our auction location to the 4H Fairgrounds in Logansport, Indiana. This helps bring revenue into the 4H community and the building offers plenty of parking and central air conditioning.
We strive hard, on a daily basis, to improve what we do and to make sure that we get the most money we can for you and your clients. We have a proven track record with a list of references to include local bank trust departments, attorneys, realtors, and happy sellers. We offer auctions, moving including consignments and for some relocations, consignments from one item to infinity, estate and divorce appraisals for personal property, real estate price opinions, and trust and guardianship appraisals. We sell guns, dolls, farm real estate w/land, coins, toys, household, antiques, cars, trucks, advertising, business or commercial items, farm machinery, construction equipment, and furniture at public auction. We do several charity auctions each year including Rotary Steak Fry, Ducks Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation, Logansport Arts Council, and Cass County Community Foundation.
We have traveled to southern Illinois, northern Indiana, and into Ohio to bring items to Logansport to sell. We brought an auction to Logansport from Muncie which took several sales to sell and brought over $160,000 total. We are willing to talk to you and go to several states to help you with your auction needs.
